Jeep Tour: Plateau Assy | Almaty | Kazakhstan

High-altitude plateau goes along the river Assy to the east. Along the river Assy there are ancient burial mounds and rock carvings, which are one of the highest mountain clusters of petroglyphs in Kazakhstan. An observatory of astrophysics is built on the upper platform of the plateau, in which one of the world’s largest telescopes is installed.
