Hiking day tour of the mystic cave of Sarisalltik in Kruja | Tirana | Albania
96,16 $
Kruja is situated in central Albania on a rocky mountainous terrain about 560 meters above sea level, on the slopes of Sarisalltiku Mountain. Walking through Kruja’s Medieval Old Bazaar (one of the biggest and oldest in Balkans) gives you a sense of a passage through the history. We will also visit the castle and Teqeja e Dollmes. Now the fun will really begin: we will take the ancient path to the Sarisalltik cave. Legends say that this specific hidden path was used by Scanderbeg and his generals to supply the castle with food and armors during the Ottoman attacks. This hike will take about 1.5 hours. When we have reached the top, you will get a chance to visit the mystic cave with its spiritual connections of the Bektashi religion (an Albanian very liberal Muslim belief). This point (Sarisalltik) is considered to be the balcony of Kruja. If the weather is in our favour, we can even see the Adriatic Sea from here.
