Ivan Mestrovic Gallery tour | Split | Croatia

We offer a small group experience with a local guide who will help you truly appreciate the sculptures. Ivan Mestrovich’s work is impressive on its own, but once you know the artists biography, the setting of the time period and the artists motivation, you will find the work all the more enticing.The gallery visit entails doing three floors of steps (one set of steps to the courtyard, one more to the gallery and 1 more inside the gallery and then back)After we explore the Gallery, we continue onto Kastilac, a once 16th century summerhouse of a noble family, purchased by Mestrovic and turned into a gallery with some remarkable wooden reliefs. The walk from the Gallery to the Kastilac is approximately 5 minutes and the entrance to the Kastilac is free if you have purchased a ticket for the Gallery.
