Mokoro day trip is a full day excursion into the Delta. Okavango Delta is the biggest inland delta and also listed as one of the seven wonders of the world.You will be transferred to the mokoro station at Boro. Embark on this day trip and travel through the water channels using a dug out canoe. This experience is very relaxing.You will leave on a mokoro (dugout canoe) for a full day of viewing game, birds and some of Botswana’s most breath-taking scenery. Relax and explore the shallow hippo water-ways in a traditional mokoro. This breathtaking adventure will take you up snaking river channels and through the long grasses or papyrus. It is ideally suited as transport in the Delta as it can move quietly through shallow water, being pushed by a boatman using a long pole. Your day will be spent with a guide gliding silently down waterways and a 1 hour game walk. On your guided walk you are likely to see elephant trails, especially if it has rained.
