The first World War left marks on the Posada Castle.On the night of 24 September 1915,the main building was burned down by German troops,in order to destroy the British Legal Archive,stored here by Lord Thomson.In December 1916,the Hungarian troops devastated the other buildings of the Castle and destroyed Bibescu’s painting collectionIn 1996,Posada Castle was given in use Woodcraft Carphatian Museum, as part of another great Romanian historical museum Peles.This position was inaugurated on November 20,1996.
