Come join us and experience a hands-on Zen derived Sumi-e (ink painting) class followed by a Macrobiotic mean with influences from Japanese Zen traditions. Enjoy how each brush strokes produce different tones and shades, and experience uniqueness of Sumi-e. You’ll bring home your artwork in a frame. The lesson takes place at Hanada Rosso, a macrobiotic and organic food cafe. Complete the experience by relaxing tea time. In the full course B, experience Buddhism through Harajuku Veggie Hamburger Steak, a Zen-Macrobiotic meal.The workshop will take place at Hanada Rosso, a cafe that serves macrobiotic and organic food. It was founded by Minako Hanada (1929-2013) who had over 30 years in macrobiotic culinary endeavors. The cafe serves a unique dinner based on the authentic Washoku cuisine of the Edo period and Buddhism thoughts in food. Harajuku Veggie Hamburger Steak (in course B) is healthy, delicious and vegan with a fusion of traditional Japanese and western taste.
