Group size: min. 2 – max. 8 peopleThe historic town of Mostar,spanning a deep valley of theNeretva River, developed in the15th and 16th centuries as anOttoman frontier town and duringthe Austro-Hungarian period in the19th and 20th centuries. Mostar haslong been known for its old Turkishhouses and Old Bridge, Stari Most,after which it is named. In the 1990sconflict, however, most of thehistoric town and the Old Bridge,designed by the renowned architectSinan, was destroyed. The OldBridge was recently rebuilt andmany of the edifices in the OldTown have been restored or rebuiltwith the contribution of aninternational scientific committeeestablished by UNESCO.
